Have a date with me by pausing for 10–15 minutes to read about places I visit and people I meet and maybe it might give you the break you need from your busy life to just sit back and breathe a while.

The history of Burnouts themselves originates from Drag Racing.  Drag racing slicks perform better at higher temperatures, thus making a burnout the quickest way to raise tyre temperature prior to a race.  It also cleans the tyre and lays down a layer of rubber by the starting line for better traction.  Some drag racetracks use a “wet box”. – A specially reserved wet surface area where water is poured to reduce the friction and initiate the burnout. The “wet box” was once called a “bleach box” when bleach was used instead of water.  To View More >>

Here in New Zealand we are in Level 4 which means we are to stay at home and only go out for exercise in our immediate neighbourhood.  All Cafes, takeaways, bars and other businesses which our government has deemed to be non-essential are closed.  Essential businesses or front line as they are referred to as well have restructured their businesses to enable them to keep supplying those they need to.  The majority of us Kiwis are home waiting out the time for this Delta variant to peak and then hopefully be able to return to work and what else comes our way.  This project for To View More >>

It is so true that as we grow up our viewpoints on life change.  These changes maybe because of external factors like being influenced by peers, family, new experiences.  We can also change by internal factors with feelings and emotions that make us look at the same event, moment in time differently.  It could be a teenager looking back on younger childhood moments and recalling them but not really understanding them so the memory is more about emotions than the facts.  It could be an adult remembering their favourite place or food they tasted for the first time and how it left To View More >>

For the last eighteen months due to the rental market we opted for the alternative lifestyle of living. Together my teenage daughter and I decided to have space of our own in a caravan rather than share space in a house.  We affectionately nicknamed the seventeen-foot 1970s Anglo Caravan “The Tin Can”.  It was our base and we filled it with many special memories that will last a lifetime just between us.  Here though I’m going to focus on how personally this alternative living style brought me closer to nature and improved my photography. Those not familiar with New Zealand,  we are one of the first in the World to Welcome in the New Year and the New Decade. Here in Wellington, the Capital,  it is a somewhat enjoyable experience to get to the CBD early and watch the set up, hear the band warming up while you sus out the food trucks and decide what you're going to pick for your dinner and then find your preferred viewing spot for the night, lay down the rug and one of your party stays put while the others go claim the feast.  Or some would have brought it with them already.   Wellington provides a setting that To View More >>

Who is behind this? One Voice Many Lives is the heartfelt photographic project of photographer, Jo Marshall herself. Joanne and her 13 year old daughter are working together to make this happen.  Why? After working many years alongside youth and listening to them as well as studying youth and identity while gaining her BA in Media Arts.  Joanne has always been able to connect with them in a way that they appreciate.   She has seen them struggle within themselves to be seen and heard and find their place in the adult world.  Now her daughter is facing a different To View More >>

It was a beautiful fine day and one not to be spent inside.  So off i drove to see what natural wonders I could discover down Papamoa Beach way.   Not having really had the chance to wander along the beach I decided to park up at the Harrisons Cut carpark and stroll with just myself, tripod and camera. Harrisons Cut itself is a freedom camping location for self-contained motorhomes overlooking Papamoa Beach. However since its only a small parking area and no more than two vans at a time can park overnight, you are limited to a maximum of two nights per calendar month. The first thing To View More >>

Sometimes in life you have that one person come along that changes the direction of your whole life.  They are a pure gift and you know it at the time but what you don't know is how much they impacted your life until they are gone and you're left with this huge gapping hole.  Yet the course they set you on is one that you will never regret. This is the very thing that has me sitting here typing and sharing my photography world and love of what's around me with you today.  It all started when I decided to hang up my real estate hat and do something else.  I was in the process To View More >>
